Coffee Break: 5 mins with project manager Sigitas Andriuška

Our blog series “Coffee Break: 5 Minutes With…” is a chance to get to know Via laurea team members better.

This time we are talking to one of the oldest members of our team, Sigitas Andriuška, who joined Via laurea back in 2016. Sigitas (or Sigis, as colleagues often call him) works in project and support teams, so many of our clients have met him at one point or another.

A fun question to start with – coffee or tea?

In the morning, only coffee. I usually drink it before work, while reviewing my planned tasks for the day.

What does a great workday look like for you?

A day in which I managed to complete / solve all of my tasks... A day in which there wasn't too much stress.

You've been at Via laurea for almost 10 years – what do you like most about working here?

The work environment shaped by our director and colleagues, which makes me still want to work here after so many years.

What has changed the most over the years and what has stayed the same?

The biggest change has been our attitude towards clients – we no longer want to work with just anyone. We have our own "code" that we follow.

Our approach to time planning has also changed significantly.

And what remained exactly the same is Gailius Sr. and his hard work.

What situations do you resolve calmly today that previously seemed difficult?

Both before and now, there are simple situations that I can handle calmly. However, it is still just as difficult to calmly handle situations that I care about but cannot easily resolve.

What helps create good, long-term relationships with customers?

Showing the client that any need they express is important not only to them, but also to me. There are various situations that are difficult to put into separate "shelves", but sometimes only time can tell whether the attention dedicated to the client was beneficial.

Each client is very different, and their attitude towards our services also varies. Of course, it is easier and more pleasant to work with happy clients. However, life is not all roses.

What is the most difficult thing about working with Odoo projects?

Time management. Too many commitments and poorly planned time are a big headache, causing stressful situations – something you don't want to have at all.

That's why I try to manage my time as much as possible using the tools provided by Odoo. I can't even imagine what it would be like without them.

In your opinion, what sets Via laurea apart among Odoo partners?

Our transparency, experience, knowledge, and our modules (adapted to the Lithuanian market). We also keep up with the latest versions of Odoo, including regular updates of our client systems.

It's hard to compare our teams with those of other partners, but if I could, I would say that our team is truly united. You can always get help from your colleagues when you need it.

What do you find most interesting in the ERP industry today?

I'm glad that today I don't need to explain what Odoo or ERP systems in general are – businesses interested in Odoo come to us themselves and already knowing its benefits. That certainly couldn't be said 10 years ago.

To wrap up – what are you most proud of?

At work, I still believe that I am able to work well with clients and that my services satisfy them.

In life, I'm lucky that I still force myself to exercise, I have a great family and three cute pets who don't ever let me be sad. .
