We are immensely proud to announce that Via laurea has once again achieved the "Odoo Gold Partner" status, becoming the first such partner in Lithuania (2026 February). It is a significant milestone that reflects our long-lasting commitment and close partnership with Odoo SA.
Reclaiming our position as Odoo Gold Partners
Why do we say "once again"? Those who have been with us for more than 3 years may remember that we already held an Odoo Gold status back in 2022. So, what happened?
With the growing popularity of the ERP system and an increasing partner network in 2024, Odoo decided to make significant changes to their partners’ tier system. The organisation increased the criteria required to achieve both Silver and Gold statuses, meaning that many of the existing Gold Partners around the globe reverted back into the Silver tier, including us.
However, our growth and strategic efforts over the past few years have now led us back into the top tier, cementing our position as the leading Odoo partner in Lithuania.
What is Odoo Gold Partner status and how is it achieved?
All official Odoo partners are categorised into these tiers: Learning, Ready, Silver, and Gold. To be considered for any of the tiers, partners must demonstrate a good level of Odoo training and expertise, as well as work directly with the local Odoo representatives to ensure a smooth service for the clients.
As the highest tier level recognised by Odoo, Gold Partner status is achieved by meeting strict criteria, namely:
- At least 300 new Odoo users over the last year’s period;
- A customer retention rate of 80% and higher;
- Minimum of 6 certified employees;
Together, these criteria signal that a partner holds hands-on experience delivering Odoo projects of varying sizes and complexities, maintains consistent quality standards, as well as has a team of experts with up-to-date knowledge in Odoo’s latest versions.
Numbers are not enough
It’s also important to note that just reaching the outlined numbers is not enough to be awarded a Gold status – the partner’s ethos and working practices must also be aligned with those of Odoo. A Gold Partner represents the wider Odoo ecosystem and, therefore, their actions impact the reputation of the whole organisation.
These partners are expected to contribute positively towards the growth and improvement of the Odoo community, encouraging user engagement as well as friendly cooperation between partners. As such, Odoo has the final decision whether a partner will be granted Gold status, and those who do not adhere to their ethos are penalised accordingly.
Not just that, each partner status is regularly reviewed, meaning the criteria must be maintained over time, not just achieved once.
Our history with Odoo
Our first acquaintance with Odoo was back in 2013, when the software was still called “Open ERP”. We were a small IT company specialising in website creation, in need of an efficient web management solution.
Using Odoo’s open API, we made a connection to our online store and, quickly realising how useful the system was, implemented it for the rest of Via laurea processes. We’re happy to say we haven’t used any other business software ever since.
Soon after, we received a request for a B2B Odoo implementation project. This was our first experience implementing an ERP software for another business, but it was a successful one. While we continued with our website creation services, Odoo was becoming an increasingly important part of our operations – one we could no longer treat as a side-hustle.
From 2016, Via laurea started specialising in Odoo business management system, taking on primarily ERP implementation clients. Fast forward to 2020, we became an official Odoo Ready Partner, followed by gaining a Silver Partner status in 2021, and our initial Gold Status the year after.
What’s next for Via laurea?
Achieving Gold Partner status is a moment of pride for our team but, more importantly, it’s a sign of commitment to our clients and the wider Odoo community. This milestone will not change, but rather strengthen our core values and goals:
