Odoo 19 version features – What's new?

It’s official! Odoo 19 version has now been unveiled, following the spectacle of an event that was "Odoo Experience 2025", which took place on 18-20th September in Brussels. We’ve been teased about the new functionality for a while now, but OXP is when they are presented in their finished form.

Each new Odoo version aims to improve the software even further, updating existing functionality as well as bringing brand-new features. So, without further ado, let’s have a look at the key highlights of version 19!

AI-powered tools

One of the most anticipated updates on Odoo 19 is the integration of artificial intelligence across every module on the software, including project, CRM, marketing, accounting, and more. Users will now be able to perform server actions through custom AI text fields, simply by typing in a prompt.

For instance, you may find and open any document quicker with the help of AI. Similarly, it can transcribe and summarise live voice recordings (e.g. online meetings) in real-time. There’s also a native AI support Chatbot, which can be used on your website or customer portal.

And, there's more! Odoo introduced a new app dedicated to AI, featuring a number of AI agents that can provide support for everyday business tasks. This includes a compliance assistant, marketing assistant, legal adviser, etc… These agents act like a personal assistant, streamlining manual activities, assisting with complex tasks, and generating creative ideas.

New industries

Another huge introduction to Odoo 19 – 100 new industry-specific modules, tailored to the unique needs of each sector. This includes industries such as bakeries, accounting firms, microbreweries, yoga and pilates studios, carpenters, candy shops, florists, hair salons, law firms, photographers, theatres, wine shops, and many more.

Website features

The website module received some excellent improvements. New building blocks, snippets, and page templates have been added, including new scrolling effects and dynamic product ribbons. The overall onboarding experience is now smoother, with even more user-friendly web builder UI and an enhanced search view.

Moreover, Odoo 19 provides more SEO tools for web pages, with more detailed insights and optimisation recommendations (keywords, metadata, breadcrumbs, etc.). There is also now a possibility to integrate your website with Google Merchant Center and Gelato – popular platforms for ecommerce on-demand services.

POS improvements

Odoo POS system received improvements to the overall user experience, kiosk interface, preset configurations, and quick counter items on cards. Among the new features are global invoicing capabilities, multi-choice combo products, product grouping, meal voucher support, backend data reload for better performance and sync, and compatibility with more cash management machines.

Sign revamp

The Sign module had a glow-up on Odoo 19 with a sleek new look and features. One of the most notable is the ability to send multiple documents in a single envelope, allowing receivers to sign the documents easier. There is also a multiple signers interface.

Additionally, there are new field types, such as text formatting and dropdown menus. Users can automatically assign signers, set expiration dates on shared URL links, request signatures via WhatsApp or quick sign PDFs via any Odoo app, including straight from the chatter field.

Inventory and Purchase

Odoo 19 version is revolutionising inventory management by merging packaging and UoM (Units of Measure) into a single structure. This means you will need fewer separate columns and categories, but the module will still allow for multiple sales packaging options and purchase units, further improving supply chain flexibility.

Furthermore, the “Pack In Pack” feature simplifies the creation and tracking of multi-level packages. There is also a new purchase dashboard with intelligent suggestions and smart SO import options, as well as an update to the shopfloor interface.

Accounting management

Accounting management on Odoo 19 has also been improved with new updates. The bank reconciliation was redesigned to boost speed and efficiency, the e-invoicing features were expanded, multi-currency transactions now offer more control, and the integration with Documents app is tighter.

One of the most exciting Odoo 19 accounting features, however, is the ability to order a physical Odoo branded credit card. Businesses can use these to manage their expenses, automatically syncing all data with Odoo.

New app: ESG

To help businesses comply with the new EU regulations for carbon emissions tracking, Odoo 19 version also includes a new app, ESG (Environmental, Social, Governments). This module provides in-depth carbon analytics, generates carbon footprint reports, automatically converts various business activity into emission factors, tracks social metrics (like gender pay gap), and provides seamless integration with the IPCC database.
